Brazoria County Shelter

– A Brazoria County shelter will open today at 12 p.m. at Pearland High School, located at 3775 S. Main in Pearland. There is limited space available. Residents are encouraged to determine if they have other housing options before coming to the shelter.

– Today, we will continue to update our online map of areas impacted by Harvey. Public Works crews will be out assessing road conditions to ensure the most accurate information is available for map updates.As a reminder, do not call 911 to report water in streets and channels, unless there is a threat to personal welfare.

Closures/Cancellations
– City facilities will continue to be closed on Wednesday, Aug. 30 and resident services usually available at City facilities will not be available.
– All City employees who are identified as essential personnel are expected to report to work. Employees should contact their immediate supervisor for report times and make plans for their homes and families.
– The City Council Meeting scheduled for Monday, Aug. 28 has been cancelled. The reschedule date, contingent upon weather, is Aug. 30.

Garbage/Recycling Collection
Waste Management, the City’s waste collection provider will not be providing trash/recycling on Tuesday, Aug. 29. Follow the Waste Management alerts page for information regarding collection on other days this week.

Damage reports
If you have experienced damage in your home, please report that information to us at pearlandtx.gov/damagereport.

Emergency alerts
Residents should sign up to receive emergency alerts at pearlandtx.gov/alerts. The City of Pearland will release more information as it becomes available.
